A warm welcome awaits you ...
This is a delightful character cottage for two in a rural setting. It is situated on the edge of the village and set away from the road. The cottage is built on the remains of a traditional Victorian potting shed in a corner of the walled garden built for the Eversley Estate around 1859.
From a slightly elevated position the cottage has a lovely uninterrupted view over the owner’s grounds which are rich in wildlife. The area to the front of the cottage is mainly set to grass with mature trees and shrubs. It incorporates the site of the old Japanese garden with a pond and seating area, a wonderful spot to sit on a warm evening and watch the sunset. This is the location of the maple trees which give the property its name. There are drifts of snowdrops in winter followed by primroses, natural daffodils and bluebells. The grounds are available for our visitors to enjoy along with their own private enclosed rear garden with patio and seating.
Maple Cottage is personally maintained by the owner to a very high standard as indicated by our Visit Britain awards. We are continually improving the facilities on offer. Our aim is to provide our guests with comfortable, clean and well presented accommodation so they can relax and enjoy the holiday to the full.
